40 pounds gone

Started this diet on April 19 and today, August 7 I am down 40 pounds. I am halfway there. Still loving the low carb diet and still working out six days a week. My latest treat is a low carb protein smoothie. I bought vanilla protein powder and add everything from cocoa and a teaspoon of peanut butter to fresh strawberries to make the most delicious smoothies! Once I get them made, they are anywhere from 8-12 carbs, so a little high in carb count for a snack or even breakfast. Still, a nice break from eggs. More to come soon!

  1. I'm really inspired by your weight loss. Are you following a certain low carb plan? I'm kind of doing my own version just because I hate tracking and counting. I figure if my weight doesn't budge I will switch to Atkins.

  2. I started out strictly on Atkins, but now that I've lost over half my weight I'm more doing my own thing. I figure I have between 20-35 carbs per day. I also workout 6 days a week, so I think that helps. I'm losing about 2 pounds a week now.
